1st Addition to Scenic Edge Subdivision

1st Addition to Scenic Edge is a forty lot residential subdivision located in a valley surrounded by steep wooded bluffs in the Village of Cross Plains. Quam Engineering, LLC provided topographic collection, construction staking, and construction administration, and designed the storm water management facilities, erosion control, grading, streets, sanitary sewers, water mains, and storm sewers. The subdivision was designed to minimize the environmental impacts to the beautiful surrounding landscape and to incorporate a segment of the Ice Age Trail. The storm water management facilities included four ponds to provide rate runoff control, sediment control, and groundwater infiltration.

Homestead Estates Subdivision

Homestead Estates is a 70 lot residential subdivision located on one hundred and fifty acres of rolling meadowlands in the Town of Albany. Quam Engineering, LLC provided topographic collection and construction administration, and designed the storm water management facilities, erosion control, grading, streets and culverts. The subdivision street and lot layout was designed to maximize the number of 1 1/2 acre lots, minimize the length of street and quantity of earthwork required, place the natural drainage swale along the back lot lines, and protect the few mature oak trees by placing them near lot lines.

Blue Glacier Valley Subdivision

Blue Glacier Valley is a six lot residential subdivision located on ten acres of gently sloping meadow in the Town of Middleton. Quam Engineering, LLC provided topographic collection, construction staking, and construction administration, and designed the storm water management facilities, erosion control, grading, streets and culverts. The property was divided by an existing drainage swale carrying over one-hundred and ten acres of off-site storm water runoff. The subdivision was designed to provide a greenway along the perimeter of the property to bypass the large amount of offsite drainage. The replacement of the existing drainage swale with greenway also allowed for the creation of two additional build-able lots. The storm water management facilities included two ponds to provide rate runoff control, sediment control, and groundwater infiltration.

Sugar River Crossing Subdivision

Sugar River Crossing is a forty-one lot residential subdivision located on one-hundred and sixty-one acres with over seven thousand feet of frontage along the Sugar River in the Town of Albany. Quam Engineering, LLC provided topographic collection, and designed the storm water management facilities, erosion control, grading, streets and culverts. The ditches were designed with minimal slopes and deep rooted native prairie plants to take advantage of the sandy substratum and promote infiltration. These infiltration enhancements allowed for W.D.N.R. and Town of Albany storm water management approvals without the use of a detention pond.

Scenic Point Subdivision

Scenic Point is a sixty-two lot residential subdivision located on a diverse thirty acres in the City of Sun Prairie. The property contains dense woods, meadows, and wetlands and is bordered to the north by a residential subdivision, to the east by wetlands, to the south by the Soo Line rail road tracks, and to the west by a cemetery. Quam Engineering, LLC provided topographic collection, construction staking, and construction administration, and designed the storm water management facilities, erosion control, grading, streets, sanitary sewers, water mains, and storm sewers. The subdivision was designed to minimize the earthwork required and to maximize the future home exposures which will overlook the scenic wetlands to the east and south. The storm water management facilities included two ponds to provide rate runoff control, sediment control, and groundwater infiltration.

Hawks Woods Condominiums Subdivision

Hawks Woods Condominiums is a sixty unit residential subdivision located on ten acres near the Hawks Landing Golf Course in the City of Madison. The property features over fifty feet of elevation difference across its length and presented a challenging grading design. Quam Engineering, LLC provided topographic collection, construction staking, and construction administration, and designed the erosion control, grading, streets, and storm sewers. The subdivision was designed to maximize the condominium basement exposures, match into the fixed perimeter grades, and provide drainage away from the condominiums and into the storm inlets.

Prairie Condominiums at North Ridge Subdivision

Prairie Condominiums at North Ridge is a thirty-eight unit residential subdivision located on six acres in the Village of Waunakee. Quam Engineering, LLC provided topographic collection, construction staking, and construction administration, and designed the erosion control, grading, streets, sanitary sewers, water mains, and storm sewers. The subdivision was designed as a Planned Unit Development (PUD) requiring the preparation of the General Development Plan (GDP) and Specific Implementation Plan (SIP).

State Bank of Cross Plains – Mount Horeb Branch

The Mount Horeb Branch of the State Bank of Cross Plains is one of many bank site designs prepared by Quam Engineering, LLC. Quam Engineering, LLC provided topographic collection, construction staking, and construction administration, and designed the erosion control, storm water management, grading, parking layout, utility connections, and storm sewers. The State Bank of Cross Plains site design features a drive-up teller window and extensive limestone retaining wall system. Quam Engineering, LLC also provided engineering services for the restaurant and day care building which are also located in the commercial subdivision.

Courtyard Inn at Discovery Springs

The Courtyard Inn at Discovery Springs is a one-hundred and thirty-six room hotel on a three acre site located in the City of Middleton. Quam Engineering, LLC provided topographic collection, and designed the erosion control, storm water management, grading, parking layout, utility connections, and storm sewers. The storm water management facilities included three bio-retention devices to provide sediment control, and groundwater infiltration.

The Mercedes Benz Dealership is located in the Town of Madison and is one of many dealership site designs prepared by Quam Engineering, LLC. Quam Engineering, LLC provided topographic collection, construction staking, and designed the erosion control, storm water management, grading, parking layout, utility connections, and storm sewers. The site was designed to maximize visibility of the parking lot and building from the beltline highway. The site features and extensive modular block retaining wall system. The storm water management facilities included two detention ponds to provide rate runoff control, sediment control, and groundwater infiltration.
